The Austrian company Wienerberger, a global leader in production and sales of construction material and infrastructure solutions, opened a leading-edge production plant in Kanjiza. It is an investment worth EUR 19 million.
Wienerberger Serbia General Manager Ivan Vujisic said the modern plant, which will ensure even better conditions for production and further development, was a part of the company’s growth strategy.
“With the amount of this investment, the company reconfirms its desire for investments that will take its business operations to an even higher level and ensure a leading position over the next few decades in the local market and in foreign markets as well,” Vujisic said, adding that a total of over 64 mln euros had been invested in the Kanjiza plant since its privatisation.
An important aspect of this investment is sustainability, the company emphasizes. The factory meets the highest standards in terms of efficiency and environmental impact, which is confirmed by the eco-label that the products of this company have been wearing for years.
