Starting from May 17th, the submission of applications for the establishment of business entities in Serbia to the Serbian Business Registers Agency must be exclusively in electronic format, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Economy.
This move is a result of changes made to the Law on the Procedure of Registration at the Serbian Business Registers Agency in 2021, which was initiated by the Ministry of Economy. The SBRA is now obligated to accept only electronic applications for company registration, in line with the concept of e-Government and the digitization of the entire economy. As a result, it will no longer be possible to submit paper applications for the establishment of companies to the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
