The Hungarian German company Knott Autoflex Yug has opened a new hot-dip galvanizing plant in Becej that will process iron and steel products. The facility will employ 82 workers, and the annual production capacity will amount to 20,000 tons out of which 14,000 tons will be sold while the rest will be used for the need of its own production.
For the investments worth EUR 7.5 million, the company received state subsidies of EUR 250,000.
Knott manufactures car trailer parts and employs 740 workers in Becej. Total investments of the company amount to EUR 25.5 million.
German Knott group operated in Becej through three companies: Motorflex Remont, Knott Autoflex Yug and Autoflex Livnica.
The opening ceremony for the new Knott facility in Becej was also attended by the Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Government of AP Vojvodina, Igor Mirovic, the President of the Assembly of Vojvodina, Istvan Pastor, the German ambassador to Serbia, Thomas Scheib, Autoflex Knott Hungary CEO and co-owner, Sándor H. Szabó, the Director of the Knott Group Germany, Valentin Knott, as well as the Mayor of Becej, Dragan Tosic.
