Four years ago, a small facility for the production of Italian footwear opened in Alibunar. Today, they employ 400 workers and produce 2,000 pairs of winter shoes and extreme sports shoes for a day.
In addition to the existing factory, the construction of another facility on 1,200 sq. m will start this spring and another 200 workers will be employed by the end of the year, after training in Romania and Italy.
All the raw materials are sent from Italy, and the footwear produced in Alibunar needs to meet high quality standard. The biggest sales are realized in the USA, Canada and China.
– I am glad that we have managed to educate and train a large number of people. It was difficult, but it has resulted in this being a large and successful factory – says Parilab Director Jon Magda.
