Data from the July 2024 edition of the Economic Mirror shows that as of the end of May 2024, the central government debt was 47.6% of the projected GDP. Consumer prices in May 2024 increased by 4.5% compared to the same month the previous year.
In the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, a trade deficit was recorded in May from foreign trade. The index of total industrial production increased in May compared to the previous month.
The labor market in Vojvodina saw an increase in the employment rate for the working-age population (15-64) in the first quarter of 2024 (66.4%) compared to the same quarter in 2023 (64.3%). The number of unemployed individuals in Vojvodina decreased in May 2024 (77,365) compared to May 2023 (83,139). In May, the average net salary in Vojvodina was 94,248 RSD.
