Suppliers’ Day 2018

Over 350 B2B meetings took place between major manufacturers and retail chains with small and medium enterprises (SMEs), mainly from the food and processing industry, during the 2018 – Agrobiznis Day, which was held on Monday, May 15, at the Congress Center “Master ” of the Novi Sad Fair.

The event was organized by the Vojvodina Development Agency (RAV) and the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, with support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina, Vojvodina Cluster of Organic Agriculture and Cooperative Union of Vojvodina, to join small businessmen with large companies or trade chains, who are looking for suppliers.

In the conference section institutional measures for supporting the agriculture sector were presented: current public calls of the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, IPARD II program, support to the organic production sector provided by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), IT Solutions of the BioSens Institute, and the services of the Scientific Institute for food technology in Novi Sad (FINS). Nikola Zezelj, director of RAV, explained how RAV can support farmers and all other domestic businessmen.

We thank the speakers Mladen Petkovic, Assistant Secretary of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Zarko Radat, director of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, Oskar Mark, assistant researcher from the BioSens Institute, Olivera Djuragic, director of FINS, and Zagorka Marković, adviser in Germany Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ).

We also thank all the companies that responded and applied, recognizing that such meetings are a good way to get in touch with potential partners.
