In June 2023, the 52nd round of research on the Business Climate Survey in AP Vojvodina was conducted, involving 189 companies operating in all sectors of the economy. The main findings of the survey show positive expectations among entrepreneurs at the level of the Vojvodina economy in all observed categories: overall business performance, cooperation with foreign clients, sales prices, and the number of employees.
The central theme of the research was the export competitiveness of companies. The research findings indicate that pricing competitiveness and a well-developed marketing strategy for foreign markets are the most crucial factors for export planning and/or increasing export competitiveness. According to respondents who do not export to foreign markets, the biggest export barriers are a lack of information about foreign markets, high transportation and storage costs, as well as strong foreign competition.
Among the surveyed companies that export to foreign markets, the majority cited export as part of their long-term business expansion strategy. The programs/measures that would contribute the most to increasing the export competitiveness of the respondents are assistance in identifying potential partners and support for participation in international fairs.
