According to the report on the operation of free zones in 2016, adopted by the Government of Serbia at the first session in August, a total of EUR 236.41 million was invested within them last year. Goods worth EUR 2.15 million were exported, amounting to 16% of the country’s total exports in 2016, which amounted to EUR 13.42 billion.
There are currently 14 free zones in Serbia – Pirot, Zrenjanin, Subotica, Novi Sad, Sabac, Uzice, Smederevo, Krusevac, FAS – Kragujevac, Nis – South, Apatin, Svilajnac, Vranje and Priboj.
